We arrived in Koh Pangang with most of the 20-something back packers from all aropund the world. Koh pangang is the site of the famed full moon party, but that was last week, and new Years is suposedly bigger, with 20 000 people. Now this isn't ideal situation when you and 19 999 other people are trying to find rooms all on the same small island.
Backpacks - all the fashion
After being turned away from many places in the main area of Hat rin we decided to head out of town and luckily found some really nice taxi driving couple who phoned and drove us around till we found an awesome spot on the beach, with a pool and resturant for $33 a night. Lucky break.
Another beach, another day.We spent yesterday at the shops, haggling to get a cheap taxis, and eventually getting a taxi ride up to a beach in the far corner and doing some snorkeling up there.
Then it was back into Party central at Hat Rin Sunrise beach for the new years count down. The beach was packed, as far as the eye could see. It's a bit fuzzy but there were some buckets drunk (yup drinks sold by the bucket!), some fireworks, some music, and some swimming to end it all off.
The recovery position.Luckily we didnt end up in the Bangkok hospital as its only "probably the best hospital you can trust!" :-)

Tomorrow its on to Koh Tao, to finish off the island hoping, before heading up to Bangkok.
