Boats stacked high
Easter Weekend I headed up north to warmer waters with the Sydney Uni canoe club. We went to this really cool place called Goolang, which is a little river fed from the output of a hydro dam. With guaranteed water and some good grade 2 – 4 rapids for the whole weekend - Excellent. A grade 3-4 rapid called tennis court rapid (from the way it batters kayakers from side to side) needed some serious psyching up before shooting.
Otherwise good Eskimo [PC: Inuit ] rolls, nose stands, and feeble attempts at surfing some of the play holes, coupled with classic campfire antics made for a great weekend.
Submarine surfing
Things are going over!
