Singapore and Phuket

Singapore Esplanade

A tourist holiday for a change! Landed in Singapore with 12hrs to kill till Jill arrived. Spent it walking around the fancy new Terminal 3 until I found a desolated corner with some of the most uncomfortable plastic chirs in the world to sleep on..and did. Jill arrived next morning and we spend the day visitin the strip malls of Orchard st, which almost made us both sick. If I see another Lacoste/Swarofski/Rolex/Lois Vuiton branded store I will puke. The electronics mall was slightly better. Escaping just before the downpore he took the MRT back to the airport and flew across to phuket.

Promthep Cape

A bit of taxi caos at the airport but we were soon off to our larney spot in North Patong. Hotel lived up to the pics on the internet and the "American Breakfast" was enough to last us all day. Spent yesterday touring the beaches, KATA, Karong and down to the promthep (or ProHep...?) Cape. Cocktails, a meal overlooking the sunset was the order of the day, and a entertaining Tuk Tuk ride back through the hectic streets of Patong.

Today we are heading over to Phi Phi, lets hope there's accomodation there..
