Sydney the Blue mountains and off to NZ again.

After the trip to NZ I have been getting back to life in Sydney for a while. Rob, a friend from SA came over and we did a short trip out to see the scenic sights of the blue mountains.

Rob with the Three Sisters.

Otherwise been training hard, bought a new carbon road bike (a Krypton from Argon18) Its pretty sweet. So now I fly out to NZ again this time to compete in the Coast to Coast Race (Aka. The World Multisport Champs or Longest Day). Its a 243km race across (W-E) South Island NZ just above Christchurch. The legs are:

3km run
55km Road bike
33km Mountain Run
15km Road bike
67km River paddle (grade 2)
70km Road bike
Down a Speight Beer.
Finish!
Should be all done by midnight or hopefully a lot sooner (15hr-ish)

So hopefully all goes well the race in next weekend on the 10th February - there may be some updates on www.coasttocoast.co.nz or on www.sportzhub.co.nz.

My god, has the Kirch been avoiding his MTB or did he have far too many Toohey's coupled with Four and Twenty pies?

As my favourite oneballed would say, it's not about the bike!

Carbon is not all it's cracked up to be! I now a have a three piece Neil Pryde X9 windsurfing mast(more like 3 million) that shattered on me whilst i was dodging sharks off sunrise beach...fun swim home
