Sydney Weekends

Back in Sydney I have had a couple of lazy weekend and some good trips around. Went out on a yacht from Pittwater (inlet north of Sydney harbour) to try and see some whales. But no whales only a bit of sea sickness! Perfect day out in the ocean!
The sunnies on the yacht.

Last weekend went up to Forster on the Central Coast (4 hours north of sydney to do a kayak marathon) . It rained from the moment we left on Friday till a couple of hours before the race on Sunday, which meant I got to test out my TNF tent(mainly waterproof) and new Thermarest matress(comfy). They kayak race had good and bad patched in the 2hrs/20km event. First 40min was shaky trying to balance my boat. The next 40min was good chasing down the pack in front. The last 40min was painfull and slow. More paddling and less trips to Canada needed.
Afterwards we spent some time seeing the sights of the Central Coast, looking at lighthouse and beaches. This time we did see whales.
